I am a 33 year old writer, as yet unpublished, and am currently working on my first book, provisionally titled "Absentia Divinium - the sunflower dream". "Absentia" is a work of non-fiction that documents events that took place in the early 70s which my grandfather, Alfred Verola, played a significant role in. Alfred Verola was employed as an engineer in 1971 as part of the Icon program, a short-lived 'soul and consciousness' experiment that was undertaken by the United States government. According to the testimonials of former personnel on the program, this four year experimental program utilised powerful psychotropic substance absentia divinium to send human beings into inner space and perform complex research into the nature of the soul. The Icon program and its later manifestation, 'the freedom experiment' unveiled many secrets, yielded numerous inventions in 'enlightenment technology' and crossed more than a few ethical boundaries.My grandfather's scientific journals were unearthed shortly after his death in 2005 and were given to me in his will. These never before seen journals have formed the basis of my book, along with the testimonial of Nathan Heisener (former Icon program technician) and recorded conversations with John Merovin undertaken by my grandfather in 1974. I am currently looking for any further information anyone out there might have on the subject, as this book will essentially be a bringing together of accumulated research. It's a very exciting subject and one which I am amazed has not been identified by the countless conspiracy theorists out there. Please contact me if you have any further information.
